Dr. Amanda Walton Basford
Dr. Basford is a fourth generation Texan who follows in the footsteps of her grandfather, who opened the first medical office in College Station, Texas in 1941. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After her residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Basford was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident at Ben Taub General Hospital. She completed her nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and then returned to Texas to start her medical practice.

Dr. Adam I. Frome
Dr. Frome graduated from the University of Miami Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Philosophy. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he studied Public Health and subsequently went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. He continued his training at Baylor College of Medicine with a fellowship in Nephrology and was selected to serve as the Chief Fellow. His practice of medicine is dedicated to education and understanding and allows his patients to make well guided decisions about their medical care.

Dr. Ojas A. Naik
Dr. Naik is a native of South Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University where he graduated magna cum laude from the College of Science with a degree in Biochemistry. He attended medical school at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2006. He moved to Houston, TX to complete his residence in internal medicine and then subsequent fellowship training in nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine. He joined the practice with Dr .Frome and Dr. Basford in March of 2015.

Dr. Syed M. Zaidi
Dr. Syed Zaidi is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. Prior to joining Kidney Specialists of North Houston in January 2021, Dr. Syed Zaidi completed his clinical training in Nephrology from the University of Louisville. He was a Chief Fellow at Kidney Disease Program at University of Louisville and was responsible in the administration, teaching and clinical activities at one of busiest Nephrology programs in the country. Dr. Syed Zaidi has participated in multiple research projects and has presented at annual meetings of American Society of Nephrology and National Kidney Foundation. He has also been awarded the 90th Percentile Physician Award in patient satisfaction by Norton Health Care system. He has also been the chair of Nephrology division at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. Dr. Syed Zaidi has attended Dow Medical College, one of the most prestigious medical schools in South Asia, for his medical education and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at University of Louisville in Kentucky. His clinical training and experience has given him a strong foundation with exposure to treat a wide range of patients with all forms of kidney diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, management of kidney stones, management of kidney transplant and different modalities of dialysis.
